Hot-Dog Queen
This series of images questions the consumer culture born in the United States and its global influence. By transforming everyday objects, like burgers, hot dogs, or even marshmallow airplanes, into symbols of power, success, or absurdity, it critiques the "American way of life" and its excesses. This model, initiated in the 1950s, has since been exported across the world, shaping our own consumption habits along the way.
Through images that oscillate between grandeur and ridicule, the series highlights the ambivalence of this culture of excess. By evoking mechanisms still very much present today, particularly through social media and advertising, this work invites reflection on the omnipresence and global impact of this dynamic in modern societies.
